We also have 2 lock boxes, since there is no power by the front door. Like Paul, the 2nd is hidden by the garage and also has a different combination.
Guests receive the combination to the lock box on the front door jam with Check In Instructions. ( And like Paul, we have keys inside for the guests to use during their stay.) The Check In info states in BOLD lettering that they should return the key to the lock box everytime they use it. IF they lock themselves out they have ot call me for the other box combo. If they lose BOTH keys there is a $50.00 charge, payable in cash to the person who has to come and let them in. SO far, only on guest in 5 years has locked themselves out.
